Doriana Tchakarova is internationally successful as a pianist, winner of numerous competitions and her CD recordings have received important awards.

As a lied pianist and chamber musician, she has been successful on major concert stages in Berlin, Vienna, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Hanover, Freiburg, Lugano and Bayreuth, as well as at major festivals such as the Heidelberg Spring, the Oxford Song Festival, the Dresden Music Festival, the Sindelfingen Song Festival, the Würzburg Mozart Festival or the Schubertiada Barcelona.

Her numerous singing partners include Äneas Humm, Samuel Hasselhorn, Thilo Dahlmann, Eva Zalenga, Julian Prégardien, Johannes Held, Konstantin Krimmel, Ulrike Sonntag, Krešimir Stražanac, Nathalie Karl, Matthias Klink, Judith and Felicitas Erb, Manuel Walser, Carolina López Moreno, Nils Wanderer, Mirella Hagen, Sarah Wegener, Anna-Lena Elbert, Marcel Brunner, Magnus Dietrich, Robin Neck, Johanna Pommranz, Thomas Pfeiffer and the SWR Vocal Ensemble.

A CD with ballads by Schubert, Loewe, Schumann and Jensen was released on the renowned Alpha Classics label in 2019 with baritone Konstantin Krimmel. This recording was nominated for the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA) and Opus Klassik and was awarded the Diapason découverte. Her CDs with the sopranos Judith Erb and Felicitas Erb with songs and duets by Robert Schumann, Hugo Kaun (world premiere recordings) and Louis Spohr with ARS-Production and especially her recording of duets by Felix Mendelssohn and Fanny Hensel met with an enthusiastic response throughout Europe. The latter was nominated for the Echo Klassik in 2017, among others.
Together with the Erb sisters and the tenor Magnus Dietrich, their new CD with all the Brahms duets will be released in March 2022 on the MDG label.

Doriana Tchakarova was born in Varna, Bulgaria. She completed her bachelor's and master's degrees in piano with Prof. Fernande Kaeser and Prof. Friedemann Rieger at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart and studied in the song class of Prof. Konrad Richter. In April 1993 she won second prize at the international piano competition "Dimitar Nenov" in Razgrad/Bulgaria.

In the same year she performed Sergei Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto with the Varna Philharmonic. In July 2001 she won the chamber music category at the 15th International Competition "Franz Schubert" in Italy with cellist Krassimira Krasteva. In 2004 she won second prize with the soprano Judith Erb at the Schubert competition of the "Concorso Internationale di Interpretazione Musicale Citta di Racconigi" in Italy. Together with the baritone Konstantin Krimmel, Doriana Tchakarova won the first prize in the song duo category at the Berliner in May 2018 "Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition" Since then she formed a successful song duo with him until 2020 and accompanied him at all competition successes and song recitals at home and abroad.

She is a lecturer for singing accompaniment at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. She is a sought-after répétiteur at numerous singing master classes and international singing competitions.

She frequently partners singers such as Äneas Humm, Samuel Hasselhorn, Thilo Dahlmann, Eva Zalenga, Julian Prégardien, Johannes Held, Ulrike Sonntag, Krešimir Stražanac, Anna-Lena Elbert, Nathalie Karl, Matthias Klink, Judith and Felicitas Erb, Sylvia Koncza, Carolina López Moreno, Nils Wanderer, Mirella Hagen, Sarah Wegener, Konstantin Krimmel, Marcel Brunner, Thomas Pfeiffer, as well as the SWR Vokalensemble.

Doriana Tchakarova was born in Varna, Bulgaria. In 2004 with soprano Judith Erb, she won second prize in the Schubert competition of the "Concorso Internationale di Interpretazione Musicale Citta di Racconigi" in Italy. Together with baritone Konstantin Krimmel, Doriana Tchakarova won 1st prize at the Berlin “Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition” in May 2018.

Since October 2003, she has been singers in lied, opera and oratorio at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts. She is much sought after as a pianist for master classes in voie and art song, and international singing competitions.
